Welcome to LFSTYL. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and LFS Merchant Services LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("LFSTYL," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the LFSTYL mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use LFSTYL. By using the Service, you represent that you are 17 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. The Service is not directed to children under 13.
2. Health Disclaimer — Read This Carefully
LFSTYL provides general fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle information generated by an AI coach. LFSTYL is not a medical provider, hospital, clinic, doctor, registered dietitian, therapist, or licensed health professional. The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before:
- starting any new exercise program;
- making significant changes to your diet, calorie intake, or macronutrient targets;
- starting, stopping, or changing any medication or supplement;
- training while pregnant, postpartum, or trying to conceive;
- training with an injury, chronic illness, or any medical condition.
If you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting, severe pain, or any other symptom that may be a medical emergency, stop using the Service immediately and seek emergency medical care. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or are in crisis, call or text 988 (in the US) or your local emergency services.
You assume full responsibility for any decisions you make based on information provided by LFSTYL or the LFSTYL AI coach. Reliance on any information provided by the Service is solely at your own risk.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which will permanently remove your personal data from our active systems as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
LFSTYL may offer auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store refund policy.
Free trials, if offered, automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app;
- attempt to access, probe, or test the vulnerability of our systems;
- use the Service to harm yourself or others;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity;
- upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes the rights of others;
- use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service;
- abuse, harass, or send abusive content to the LFSTYL AI coach in a way intended to elicit harmful output.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. AI-Generated Content
LFSTYL uses third-party large language models (currently Google's Gemini) to generate coaching responses. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any AI-generated content. You are responsible for evaluating any advice before acting on it.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (messages, photos, food logs, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You represent that you have the right to submit any content you upload and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, features, brand, and its coach characters, is owned by LFSTYL and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding without our prior written permission.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 2, 6, 10, 11, and 12) will survive.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR SITUATION.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LFSTYL AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) USD $50.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LFSTYL from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Geauga County, Ohio, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
